LokOS Transaction Modules Go Live: Recording Financial and Meeting Data for SHG, VO, and CLF

As part of the ongoing initiative to digitise the financial data of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Village Organizations (VOs), and Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), LokOS transaction modules are now operational on both the LokOS mobile and web applications.

It means that the states can now commence live data entry of financial transactions and meeting details directly into the LokOS system, marking a departure from traditional record-keeping methods.

The SHG and VO transaction modules are developed on the Android platform, and seamlessly integrate with the existing Profile modules in the LokOS application. Additionally, the CLF transaction module is available on the LokOS Web Portal.

Given the age of SHGs, VOs, and CLFs predates the introduction of the transaction module, a provision is provided for the organisations to fill the historical financial data through the ‘Cut-Off sheet’ before starting regular transactions. However, newly formed SHGs, VOs, and CLFs, with fewer than 12 meetings, can start ‘regular transactions’ from their first meeting.

A Training (Demo Version) application has also been developed to meet the capacity-building needs of LokOS users (Bookkeepers, staff, and others). This training application will help to familiarise users with the transaction functionality before starting the entries into the live application.

Moreover, the National team is in the process of conducting training sessions for State teams on the transaction modules in the coming months. Subsequently, State teams will extend training and support to LokOS users facilitating quick adaptation to the new features.
